About the Founder
Erica Weinberg is the Founder and CEO of Ideas in Philanthropy. With more than two decades of experience across the private, corporate, and philanthropic sectors, she partners with companies, foundations, and families to design and activate philanthropic initiatives that reflect their values and respond thoughtfully to community needs.
Whether guiding a family through defining its philanthropic identity, helping a corporate foundation navigate grantmaking priorities, or facilitating multi-stakeholder strategy sessions, Erica creates space for clarity, alignment, and impact. Clients turn to her not just for her deep expertise in the philanthropic landscape, but for her steady presence, intuitive listening, and ability to turn complexity into action. She is known for being genuinely collaborative — quick to laugh, open to new ideas, and a collaborator people want in the room. Prior to founding Ideas in Philanthropy, she led grantmaking and integrated initiatives at TCC Group and served as Director of Global Philanthropy at Pfizer Inc.
Erica holds a Master's Degree from Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies and a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations from the University of Southern California. She is also the creator of Joyful Gut Cooking — because good work and good food aren't unrelated.
